One door leads to an escape.

'On the other side' by Peter Callesen is a peice of art purely created from a peice of 350 gsm paper. What drew me to this was the idea of something so simple such as a door, can mean so much, this is almost symbollic of a getaway, and escape. Lucy's 'patients' go to Lucy to talk to her, drift away from their busy lives and breakaway to a book, and to listen to what Lucy has to say to them.

'Birds' is another peice of Calleson's meaningful works of art, again made simply from paper, the birds are kind of 'freeing' themselves from their base, again, like the people who talk to Lucy, they make a departure from their lives, just for a moment, to listen to and gain advice from Lucy's knowledge. This also makes me think about what can be crafted and designed from just paper alone, think of how lightweight and versitile designs could be. A good idea for a transient space for Lucy. I have come to the conclusion we definately take paper for granted.
